Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 27, 2026

Taking Prophets (takingprophets.com) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Name and email address (during account creation or contact forms)
  • Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details)
  • Discord username (when joining our community)
  • When you sign in with Discord, Google or Apple: your name, email address and profile picture from that account, and with Discord also which servers you are in, so we can check your membership. We keep only verified email addresses, and we do not keep Google’s or Apple’s access tokens. With Apple, your email may be Apple’s private relay address.
  • When you sign in with an email link: the email address you enter
  • Any messages or content you submit through our website or community
  • Trading account names and closed-trade records from Tradovate, if you connect it to the Journal

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and browser information (user agent, screen resolution)
  • IP address and approximate location
  • Pages visited, referral source, and interaction data
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 4)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our products and services
  • Process transactions and manage subscriptions
  • Grant access to purchased indicators on TradingView
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, and promotions
  • Moderate and manage our Discord community
  • Analyze usage to improve our website and offerings
  • Comply with legal obligations

TP1 Memory

Memory consent v2 — notes on by default from October 20, 2026

TP1 Memory is a saved profile of your trading that helps our AI features give you relevant answers. Memory now builds this profile from structured Journal data. The following defaults apply:

  • Structured trading data: on by default, with notice. Memory can use your own trade records and trading activity statistics, such as results, position sizes and session times, from the Journal, Backtester and Indicator Lab.
  • Free text: on by default from October 20, 2026, and you can turn it off. From October 20, 2026, Memory also learns from your Journal notes, daily plans and reviews, and chat text, including text you wrote before that date. You can turn this off at any time, before or after that date, in Settings → Memory or from the notice in your Journal. Turning it off stops Memory using that text and removes the observations built from it. If you turned it off before, it stays off. This is separate from text you send to an AI feature for an answer; those uses are described in Section 3.

Goals. You can set goals for your trading in Settings → Memory. Memory, Prophet AI, Ask the data, the weekly digest and apps you connect to your Memory use your goals to relate what they tell you to what you are working towards. Because you type goals into Memory yourself, Memory uses them even when free-text Memory is off. Your goals are included when you export Memory and are deleted when you delete Memory or your account.

Backtester practice. Memory can also learn from your Backtester practice: your practice trades, a short summary of each practice session, and your battle results. Practice trade notes are used only while free-text Memory is on. Observations that come only from practice are labelled “In practice”, and those that come from both your live trading and your practice are labelled “Live and practice”.

Memory is stored with your account in Neon; a cached copy of the profile may be stored in Upstash. When an AI feature uses Memory, the relevant parts may be sent to the AI providers named in Section 3. Unless you turn free-text Memory off, Anthropic also processes selected text to turn it into Memory observations.

You can view, pause, export or delete Memory in Settings → Memory. Pausing keeps the saved Memory but stops it being read or written. If you mark an observation Not right or Not anymore, we keep its short statement for 180 days so Memory does not learn it again, then erase it; you can clear it sooner there. We keep Memory while your account is active unless you delete it earlier. Deleting Memory clears its saved profile and underlying facts, goals, observations, evidence and read history, while keeping your original trades, journal and playbooks. We record the deletion action. Deleting Memory leaves your pause setting in place; if Memory stays on, new Memory can be built from the trading records you keep. Deleting your account also deletes its Memory, with cached copies cleared as part of account cleanup.

Connected apps

You can connect an outside AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to TP1 with a connector key or by signing in to TP1 from that app. It can then read only what you allow: your Stats reports and your own journal, including individual trades with their entry and exit prices and your notes, and, only if you choose, your Memory. If you also allow it to suggest memories, its suggestions wait for you to keep or dismiss them and are removed after 14 days otherwise. What an app reads is then handled by that app under its own terms and privacy policy. We record each Memory read and suggestion made by an app. You can see connected apps and revoke them in Settings → Memory; access also ends after 90 days without use, and when you delete your account.

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third-party services as necessary to operate our business:

  • Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy
  • Whop — marketplace and subscription management. Subject to Whop’s Privacy Policy
  • Discord — community platform. Subject to Discord’s Privacy Policy
  • Google — sign-in, if you choose Sign in with Google. Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy
  • Apple — sign-in, if you choose Sign in with Apple. Subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy
  • TradingView — charting platform where our indicators are delivered. Subject to TradingView’s Privacy Policy
  • Notion — used via API integration for internal workflows. Subject to Notion’s Privacy Policy
  • Vercel — website hosting and analytics
  • Vercel Blob — stores the chart screenshots you attach to Journal and Backtester trades.
  • Neon — hosts our database, which holds your account, Journal and Backtester records.
  • Upstash — stores your saved Backtester sessions and Indicator Lab builds, chats and settings.
  • Resend — sends our emails, including sign-in links, so it receives your email address and the content of the emails we send you.
  • PostHog — product analytics: the pages you visit and the actions you take on our website and apps. When you are signed in, these are linked to your account and your email address. On our sales, free-indicator and first-run setup pages, PostHog may also make a session recording (a replay of the page as you saw it, with your clicks and scrolling) and a heatmap of where visitors click and scroll. We only do this if you are outside the EU/EEA, the UK and Canada and your browser does not send a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. Everything you type into a form, and any text that looks like an email address, is masked in your browser before it is sent, and we never record settings, account, billing or admin pages. Subject to PostHog’s Privacy Policy
  • OpenAI — with your ad cookie consent, measures visits, checkout starts, and initial purchases from our ChatGPT ads. We share ad click and browser references, the purchased plan, purchase time, and paid amount and currency. The Pixel may also detect contact information entered on public pages and hash it in your browser to match conversions. Raw contact values are not sent by the Pixel. We do not send your trading journal or private account page contents in these events. See the OpenAI Privacy Policy.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — advertising measurement. Our site uses the Meta pixel, and when you buy a membership we send Meta your email address in hashed form, with the identifiers of the ad you clicked, so we can tell which ads lead to purchases. Subject to Meta’s Privacy Policy; you can manage ad personalization in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.
  • Tradovate — only if you connect it to the Journal. You approve access on Tradovate’s own page; we never see your Tradovate password. With read-only access we read your account names and closed-trade reports to import your trades. We keep Tradovate’s access token encrypted and use it only for that; it stops working within about 90 minutes, and we delete it when you unlink your accounts.
  • Rithmic — only if you connect it to the Journal. We store the password encrypted, use it only to read accounts and completed trades, and delete it when you unlink. The connection cannot place, change or cancel an order.
  • Anthropic — provides the AI model behind Prophet AI and our other AI features. We send it the data needed when you use one of those features. Free-text Memory also processes selected text unless you turn it off, as described in Section 2. Current feature uses include:
    • Prophet AI (the coaching chat, the coach’s read and the weekly recap): a summary of your own Journal trades, which can include your trading account names and prop firms, plus your recent trade notes, daily plans and reviews, the tags you applied, and your question.
    • Ask the data: your question, the earlier questions in that conversation, and the results it looks up for you, which can include figures from your own Journal trades and signal sets.
    • Journal quick log and tag suggestions: the note you write, any chart screenshot you attach, and the names of your playbooks and tags.
    • Backtester AI drafting: the note or session summary you ask it to work on, and your own tag names.
    • TP1 Memory, to turn your records into short observations: a summary of your trading activity in the Journal, Backtester and Indicator Lab, including your practice trades, practice session summaries and battle results, plus the goals you set and your existing observations and corrections. Notes and chat text, including practice trade notes, are included only while free-text Memory is on, as described in Section 2.
    • The Indicator Lab assistant, and the Backtester’s AI Pine editor that uses it: your requests and conversation with the assistant, your Pine code, the chart data it is working on, and any images you attach. This assistant may run on OpenAI instead (see below).
    Anthropic processes this to produce the answer you asked for, or the Memory observations described above, under its API terms. Subject to Anthropic’s Privacy Policy
  • OpenAI — speech-to-text for Journal voice notes, and the AI model behind the support chat on our website.
    • Voice notes: when you dictate a Journal note, we send the recording to OpenAI to turn it into text, which comes back into your note for you to edit.
    • Support chat: the messages you type into the chat, including anything you choose to put in them, such as an email address. The chat is open to anyone, and we do not send OpenAI your account details with it.
    • The Indicator Lab assistant, when we run it on OpenAI: the same Lab data described under Anthropic above.
    OpenAI processes this to produce the transcript or answer you asked for, under its API terms. Subject to OpenAI’s Privacy Policy

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how you use our site. Third-party services (such as Stripe, Vercel and Meta) may also set cookies. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings; however, disabling cookies may affect site functionality.

ChatGPT ad measurement cookies are optional. Use the “ChatGPT ad cookie preferences” button on our public pages to allow, decline, or withdraw consent. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Declining does not affect purchases. Click references expire after 30 days; the OpenAI browser reference may last up to one year. Your consent preference lasts 180 days. We clear queued matching data after delivery, consent withdrawal, or its seven-day delivery window.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services.

You can delete your account yourself from Settings → Delete account. Once you type the confirmation, we delete your account and the data tied to it, including your saved Backtester sessions and Indicator Lab builds, chats and drawings. Indicators you published to the community gallery stay up unless you unpublish them first, and records of battles you played with other members are kept until they expire (up to 110 days). If you have an active paid subscription, you will need to cancel it before you can delete your account.

You can also ask us to delete your account by emailing info@takingprophets.com; we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Either way, we may keep information where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., transaction records for tax compliance).

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and is never stored on our servers. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

You can delete your account yourself from Settings → Delete account (see Section 5). To exercise any of these rights, or if you would rather we handle deletion for you, contact us at info@takingprophets.com.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
