DocsIndicator Lab

Community and publishing

Browse, preview, fork and discuss other members' indicators, and publish your own.

The launch deck has four rooms: Yours (Your indicators), Community, Taking Prophets and Partnered.

The community library

Community (on the launch deck or in the workspace header) opens what members have published. Tabs sort it: Top (most votes, then most comments), New, House Picks (the team's picks after a hands-on review) and Mine (yours). Search matches titles and authors.

Click an indicator for a live preview chart, the author, badges such as House Pick, how original it is and its fork count, and a “forked from” link if it builds on someone else's. From there:

  • Preview on chart puts a view-only preview on your chart. No code, no limit.
  • Proving Ground opens it in the Backtester.
  • Share copies its share link.
  • Fork & edit gives you a copy to work on (below).
  • The vote button upvotes it; click again to take it back. Comment under Discussion and press Post.

What a fork gives you

A fork loads the indicator's full Pine source into your workspace. From there it works like your own build: read the code, describe changes, tweak inputs, download the .pine. It's saved to Your indicators the first time you change it, with a chat revision or an input tweak. Publish your version from that same session and it credits the original and adds to its fork count. Reload the page, start a new indicator or reopen it from your library first and that credit is lost.

There's a daily limit on forking other members' indicators. Past it you'll see “Daily code limit reached — you can fork one community indicator per day. Come back tomorrow.” (the number is your current limit). Re-forking one you already opened today doesn't count again, and your own publications never count. Adding another member's indicator in the Backtester uses the same allowance. It resets at midnight UTC.

If you see “Forking another member's indicator is part of membership — your own builds and exports stay free.”, your account doesn't include forking. See Membership and billing.

Publishing

Open an Own code indicator and press Finish, then Publish. It publishes the current version with its input settings and a preview chart drawn on the timeframe you're on. The share link is copied for you and opens a public page with the title, your name, votes and the chart. Members see the preview, and anyone who forks it gets your full source.

Each Publish adds a new listing. To remove one, use the × on its card or Delete in its details, then confirm with Delete?. The bell in the header tells you about votes, comments and House Picks on your indicators. Protected and imported builds can't be published, and a near-copy of another member's indicator is turned away. To build on someone's work, fork it.

Taking Prophets and Partnered

Taking Prophets lists the official Taking Prophets publications on TradingView, each marked Open-source, Protected or Invite-only. View publication ↗ opens it on TradingView, and Backtest, where shown, opens it in the Backtester. Partnered lists partner indicators. Backtest free replays one in the Backtester with your membership. As the shelf says, “TradingView access is offered by each partner on Whop.”
